I'm in Buffalo, NY today for Garden Walk on Elmwood Ave. David Derner a sculptor friend of mine invited me down for the weekend to sculpt in his backyard during the walk for spectators. Tomorrow there will be a model but today was an open day to sculpt anything I wanted. I've had a little sketch of a crow's skull in my sketch book for a few years I've been meaning to make. So, I chose to start a piece to pay homage to Crow for acting as a spirit guide. I'm thinking of glazing this piece with a high manganese glaze to give it a metallic black look. I haven't quite figured out the rest yet but it is a start.
